Last updated: 2026-07-19
Lynglobal ("we", "us", "our") operates the Yeounuri service and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it, how we securely destroy it, and to whom we disclose it, in strict compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable laws of the Republic of Korea.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum personal information necessary to provide our purchasing-agent and delivery services.
| Category | Items |
|---|---|
| Account & Contact | Name, email address, password (stored safely using a one-way hash function), preferred language |
| Order & Delivery | Items ordered, order amount, delivery accommodation (hotel) name and address, stay/check-in dates, special delivery requests |
| Payment Information | Processed entirely by our third-party payment gateway (PayPal). We only receive a transaction reference/confirmation token; we do not collect or store full credit card numbers or raw financial credentials. |
| Automatically Collected | Anonymous, aggregated website statistics (visit counts, click logs) to improve service performance. No IP addresses or personal identifiers are stored or linked to your account. |
2. Purpose of Processing Personal Information
We process your personal information exclusively for the following purposes:
- Fulfillment of Service: To process and fulfill your proxy-purchase orders, manage domestic logistics, and complete delivery to your designated hotel.
- Customer Communication: To provide customer support, issue notices regarding order status, item substitutions, cancellations, or refunds.
- Service Optimization: To operate the travel-planner features and maintain anonymous statistics to enhance the user experience.
3. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information
In principle, we destroy your personal information without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. However, the following records shall be retained for the statutory periods required under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of Korea:
- Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription: Retained for five (5) years.
- Records on payment and supply of goods: Retained for five (5) years.
- Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution: Retained for three (3) years.
Destruction Procedure and Method
- Procedure: Personal information that has fulfilled its purpose or reached the end of its statutory retention period is transferred to a separate database or storage location and is destroyed immediately.
- Method: Personal information stored in electronic file formats is permanently deleted using technical methods that render the records unrecoverable. Any physical printouts (if applicable) are shredded or incinerated.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only provide your personal information to third parties with your explicit consent or when legally mandated.
- Hotel/Accommodation Providers: We provide your name and stay details to your designated hotel front desk/concierge strictly for the purpose of verifying your guest status and ensuring safe parcel drop-off.
- Retailers / Pharmacies: We do not share your identity with the original retail vendors unless specifically required by law for tracking age-restricted or regulated goods.
5. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing (Sub-processors)
To provide seamless technical operations, we entrust the processing of personal data to external professional service providers as follows. We manage these partners to ensure they protect your data in compliance with PIPA.
- PayPal Inc. / PayPal Pte. Ltd.: Payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Railway Corp.: Website/application cloud hosting and secure database infrastructure storage.
6. Overseas Transfer of Personal Information
Because we utilize global cloud infrastructure and international payment networks to serve global travelers, your personal data is transferred outside the Republic of Korea at the time of account creation or order placement.
| Recipient | Country | Items transferred | Purpose | Time & Method | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal Inc. / PayPal Pte. Ltd. | USA / Singapore | Name, email, transaction amount, and payment data | Processing international payments and fraud screening | Electronically via encrypted API at the time of payment | Until the purpose is achieved, or for the period required by PayPal's policy and applicable laws |
| Railway Corp. | USA | All account, order, and hotel delivery data stored in our system | Secure cloud hosting and database storage services | Encrypted over the internet upon data entry/order creation | Until account closure, user request for deletion, or termination of the hosting agreement |
Right to Refuse. You have the right to refuse the overseas transfer of your data. However, as payment processing (PayPal) and database hosting (Railway) are fundamental core components of our platform, refusing this transfer will make it impossible for us to process your orders or maintain your account.
7. Rights of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them
You may exercise your rights to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of your personal information at any time by emailing us at lynsoftadmin@gmail.com. We will process your request immediately upon verifying your identity.
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may seek dispute resolution or consultation with the following domestic authorities:
- Privacy Info. Protection Inspection Center (KISA): Call 118 / privacy.kisa.or.kr
- Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (KOPICO): Call 1833-6972 / www.kopico.go.kr
8. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser cookies and local storage to ensure the technical functionality of the Service and to improve your user experience.
- Technical Necessity: We store essential data on your device's local storage—such as your temporary login session, shopping cart items, and preferred language settings. These are strictly necessary to provide the core services you request and do not contain any personally identifiable behavior tracking.
- Managing Your Settings: You can control or disable cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time. However, please note that disabling these technical features may cause certain parts of our website (such as the shopping cart or checkout process) to malfunction or become unavailable.
9. Data Security Measures
We implement strict technical, administrative, and physical measures to secure your data, including hashing passwords using industry-standard cryptography, using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) encryption for web traffic, and restricting internal administrative data access to authorized personnel only.
10. Privacy Officers and Contact Information
We have designated a Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) to oversee personal information protection and handle related user grievances.
